The Herald Sun beats The Age anyday

cringe as they might at the AGE , the strength to tell it like it is is being lost from the age .
Who reads The Age anyway?

The Ageing reactionaries don't get it do they . They are desperate; desperate enough to get an audience with plagerism - not challenging those who keep their minds going by their own reauthoring of history . Desperate enough to feed the frenzy with a fire lit with matches everyone knows are in the cupboard, but most have the moral willpower to sit on - especially to play these destructive games with history and reputation.
Have these journos never heard of the 8th commandment-the one about not destroying someones reputation ( someone whose not here , or properly named, to defend themselves).

"White Earth " knocking novels are too normal, but not very interesting!
This carelessness is probably not unusual in history and art , but as a former Age reader who revisits it occassionally, too much of that weighty piece of saturday sequestration has got the same same old , same old desperation hanging out of its tired old cliches on Art .No wonder its getting stale and missing the opportunity to create real "Insight " and be great again . Well done Sun
The Herald Sun beats The Age --even on Saturday!

Mere Media Ownership

Have the lefties got bigness= badness stuck on their brains?
Preoccupied with preddjudice it seems the public missed the opportunity to hear a decent punchy debate on the biggest interest of the day--- media ownership. seems they left it to steve F - a bit of a big ask!
Hopefully the predicatable wave of asset stripping that presumably drives this great interest of the moment will fade and despite the lefts assertion- consumers will still have more power than we are told we have - but who knows - nobdy cut it anywhere i know with some tough questions!.

Did the govt just woose out to big buisness as usual ? I don't think the left are well tragetd here . ythey spend far too much time woorying themseleves sick about big america, or big something - seems like some technocolour yawn from mixing jealosy and cynicsm .....sometimes

Money certainly to be made NOW - but maybe not in real progress and sound business but on speculating wether the disincenstives to encourage creativity will remain .Good on the ABC for doing it -------why not make them all do it ! (5% of space allocated on a roliing roster basis)
I certainly don't trust any of the current powerbrokers to give advice on this issue . If you know the blog space tell us here !

The Simple ABC's of ABC BUSINESS. Please remove this dangerous gospel of growth from our screens, before it doesn't know what the truth, or the future is . This up beat sales focus for lovers of the quick fix curves of the sharemarket is an offence to those of whose business focus is longer than a mere day. Hon Coonan and the presenter were smiling too much to convince us the discussion was focused on sustainability.
Is there not some long term vision of our future you can inspire us with at that time of night?
