Similiarly SBS's showing of the story of CHARLIE CHAPLAN was great . The lifelong tension between a craft so well done and the message so mixed was so powerful - every student should see it so they know better what they are watching and what is woth watching. If SBS had less self indulgent navel gazing and navel exposure would it attract more viewers looking for something other than the broadly availble "cheap n nasty"?

NOT everything good is on the ABC . 30 DAYS -showing on Channel 10 (AUST) thurs at 10 . Living with the working poor was very powerfulbut why hasn't some ABC jouno done the same . All those who trust the economy of the market should first prove they have statistics, not on employement, but on the basic wage for the basic couple - let alone family !!!
