I was disturbed to hear the ABC 774 participants today tending to limit the discussion about the origins of violence to external sources. Blame the TV . Blame the computer games . Blame our genes , blame someone and it will all go away ? Sure! Put the subject in the too hard basket - we'll research it more said the health minister. http://daddydaycare.blogspot.com

Notably life matters mentor and mental health discussion on the same day remind us that 1hr a week well spent listening is better value for cutting edgecarethan most of the high input nannyism our communities get from the nine to fivers .http://cuttingedgecare.blogspot.com

Top marks to Background Briefing for class reporting of the diversity of insights into a modern Islamic state .
Cairo conversations was outstanding and will be heard again on tuesday nights by more listeners again .
Some of us are no longer lulling ourselves out of an increasingly uncomfortable coma on sunday mornings ABC --we've switched channels.

What sweet relief with Dianne on ABC local radio today Jon feine
conversation hour
For a few brief moments, we didn't have to hear the reactionary lefties droning on in a careless imprecise manner about how terrible western civilisation is and all the mistakes we have made-
Do we need outsiders to nhelp us or can we mange on our own

Monistic mindset issues?-
Give up the childish carping , get the facts and make up you minds abot monism before you are denied the good you have had ? - before the west becomes east and all the inertia envelops us and the best of what we seem NOW to take for granted is not accessible to our children .

On fair trade and fair dealing with rural issues
Great to see some talk on the ABC about these issues. John Cleary Sunday nights
The Old cultural cringe though is still very evident . "What would hick country people know "( esp Katter - "he hasn't even got a passport") john Cleary was asking the good questions, but they were too deep for most superficial political commentators of today .
Take this rubbish; "life in rural austrailia s doesn't have a future" according to Michael Duffy .And how does he KNOW this?- "well it just is "( knowledge is belief and now a matter of faith for those who carelessly chants now with the Canberra sect?
I mean they don't have to look any further, dig any deeper - Its great how labour and liberals are in such a smoo chy mood over economic policy - the invisible clothes haven't looked any better for years!. http:/users.gsat.net.au/ tuf

We who study both ecosystems and economies KNOW they haven't got the big picture .......but will they listen ? oh no we believe what some ( of our very owncloned) academics and the multinationals tell us . All major parties in the Canberra sect trust the bookeepers and their high priests. The Economy is going well according to the ledger!!!!!!The new clothes of competition policy are delivering like nothing ever did before,,,, or ever will ( ottherwise we may have to wake up during our sittings!) ! AFTER ALL -THERE ARE ONLY TWO COLUMNS THAT MATTER -----AREN'T THERE ?

It gets worse " because the chants out of Canberra are louder, more insistent, more comfortable - when the major parties agree to something as complex to model as the economy , we know we're in trouble -only one view . monoculture
It makes them happy though - they think they are the only ones who recognised marxisms and the far left's heresies -
---there is no passion though, except when they are all in church during the week .
